CIS: Deceleration Modification |
The intake piece in the middle (the one that has the
finger pointing at it) can be found on the Automatic Porsche 924's. Note that this intake piece from the Automatic does not have the connection for the deceleration valve. The automatic 924's do not have a deceleration valve,
and the manual's don't need it (extra weight) :-)
 |
The blue shows that from the cold start valve it goes directly into the intake system now that the deceleration valve is disconnected. This could help starting problems a little, but that might be for a car that had a poor deceleration valve to begin with. | |
You can see on the intake the deceleration valve line coming off of the intake. This one was plugged up. |
On the exhaust header or down pipe, just cut off and
crimp the pipe, or plug it up really well with a bolt or even better yet- get it welded shut. Or,
if you are a handy man, try duct tape like Red
Green does.
