Our story together begins with an online adventure. After meeting each other online and sharing conversations back and forth, I (Jon) braved the next step and dared to ask her out on a date. Jennifer said Yes! Holy crap! Now what do I do? What do I say?
It was the words of wisdom from my friend Tyson that gave me all the coaching advise. Told me how to walk, talk and what to say... and not to say. Ok, so that might not be completely accurate but it makes for a good story. I met up with Jen at Old Navy... and the funny part about that was I walked in, looked for a gal with black hair (because she had black hair in her pictures) and waited and waited and finally went back out to my truck. I thought, perhaps she saw me and decided to leave. About 30 minutes after our meet time was to start she called me and told me she was at the front of Old Navy. When I went to go find her I finally caught her in my eyes (and in my head said "hottie alert"). I asked her if she would like to eat at Olive Garden and she said sure. So we headed out on an adventure and I was trying to not be "shy Jon", but when we got to Olive Garden the wait was 30 minutes... so trying to make conversation, but not trying to show I was nervous being around such a cute gal I tried to talk small talk... Instead every other sentence I said was "sure is crowded in here".... "lots of people".
Since then we laugh about that night and our relationship has been built on laughter, love and a Christ centered relationship. It's so awesome to know there are real women out there that love the Lord with all their hearts; and I got the best one of them all!
Our plans for the future is to build on a God centered relationship and do the will of the Lord as well as go with what God has placed in our hearts. Were so excited to be able to go on this lifelong adventure together as we know as long as we keep God at the root of our relationship, He will bless us greatly. He already has...
